Warehouse Supervisor
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will train, schedule and coordinate day to day activities for Warehouse Technicians, Cleanroom Technicians and Inventory Shipping Specialists as applicable you will also be work closely with the Operations Manager for CSC and help lead the warehouse team with a focus on customer service, shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, staging, cleaning, repair, inventory and safety standardsÂ

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the work team leader and fills in when team members are absent and as business needs dictate  Â
- Responsible for the performance of the team they supervise and that all tasks are performed safely, accurately and on time  Â
- Proficient in every job they oversee and will serve as the trainer for those functions; will also ensure Team Members are current on all regulatory and safety training Â
- Owns the processes that they supervise and ensure that they are properly documented, followed and continually improved Â
- Balances daily workload and makes necessary adjustments to employee schedules to minimize overtime and total labor costs; approves vacation requests, etc.; accomplishes daily completion targets Â
- Responsible for entering NCRs as appropriate and often serves as primary investigator; collaborates with workers and managers to identify and solve work-related problems, participates in Kaizen and/ or rapid improvement teams Addresses and/or escalates any potential safety, quality and employee concerns, including injury and accident reporting Â
- Resolves personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or escalates them to the Manager for resolution Â
- Coaches and counsels employees regularly in work-related activities, personal growth, and job enrichment, includes performing and presenting MMFs and annual appraisals, recommends disciplinary action when appropriate Â
- Maintains showcase standards ensuring safety and that the warehouse is always ready for presentation  Â
- Conducts safety, quality or other team meetings, and serves in committee memberships as needed Â
- Records defects through POI, cycle times, double check, Paretos and leads efforts to eliminate defectÂ
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education: Â
- Forklift experience preferred Â
- High School Diploma or GED Â
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Supervisory job functions in order to provide support to the Supervisor and team
- 2 year of experience in a warehouse environment Â
- Supervisor experience preferred
Communication Skills: Â
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsÂ
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondenceÂ
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationÂ
- Ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees, and build and maintain successful relationshipsÂ
Computer Skills: Â
- Ability to learn system(s) of record Â
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred Â
- Accurate data entry Â
- MS Office suite skills and experience (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint) Â
- Familiarity with NCR/CAPA system and ability to help determine root cause and make suggestions for continuous improvementÂ
Other Skills and Abilities: Â
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the timeÂ
- The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance Â
- The employee is frequently and repeatedly required to stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, crawl, talk or hear  Â
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds Â
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusÂ
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
- See both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses)
- Identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device)
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening and weekend shiftsÂ
Other Qualifications: Â
- Maintain accurate inventory countsÂ
- Ensure quality assurance processes and procedures are followed Â
- Utilize a warehouse system to maintain appropriate work documents Â
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when neededÂ
- Experience using a handheld scannerÂ
- Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectivesÂ
