Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician – Manufacturing

Job Summary:

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure day-to-day onsite compliance with EHS regulations

  • Provide environmental and safety onboarding and refresher training to new and existing employees

  • Conduct compliance audits

  • Conduct accident investigations and associated root-cause analysis investigations.

  • Provide expert guidance on implementation of safe work procedures and completing/updating JSAs.

  • Recommend and facilitate updates to site-specific EHS procedures

  • Assist with driving a culture of safety at assigned location

  • Perform preventative inspections on equipment such as AEDs, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc.

  • Conduct environmental inspections and sampling (stormwater, SPCC, hazardous waste)

  • Serve as a SME on EHS related topics

  • Participate on safety committee

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience 2 years in a similar position, associate’s degree in EHS or combination of education and experience

  • Knowledgeable in Safety (preferred manufacturing) regulations

  • Fluent in English as well as native language (if different)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate and inspire others

  • Ability to speak in front of large groups

  • Self-motivated, driven, and positive attitude

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Spanish fluency

  • Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations/requirements

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to 37 inches high.

  • Vertical Lift requirements:  Ability to lift up to 42 lbs. to 52 inches high.

  • Carry requirements: Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.

  • Dexterity requirements: Ability to assemble small pieces such as nuts, washers.

  • Ability to sustain a crouched position and reach repeatedly across a barrier.

  • Standing hours: Approx. 50%  

  • Computer hours: Approx. 50%  

  • Work environment is fast paced, noise and temperature levels can vary.  

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must pass a drug screen

  • Must pass a background check

  • We do require you to complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) to make sure you are physically capable of performing the work. This must be completed prior to starting.  

Safety:

  • If your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $50 per pair every two years.

  • Array operates under strict guidelines and safety standards.  Ear protection, hard hats, and standard non-prescription safety glasses are provided by the company.
