We’re currently looking for a Fleet Maintenance Account Manager to join our team and play a critical part in our daily operations. This dynamic role is a commercial fleet maintenance sales and relationship development role focused on Class 5-8 Vehicles, PM programs, DOT inspections, alignments, breaks, suspension, and overall fleet service growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage “Program” business for Strategic Accounts as assigned through scheduling fleet service appointments and coordinating with the service department
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with vehicles and plan repairs
  • Ensure compliance of Fleet Programs at Pomp’s locations and customer terminals
  • Helping customers reduce downtime and managing maintenance programs
    • Conduct fleet need evaluations and provide customers with cost/benefit analysis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional managers with each assigned fleet
  • Work closely with all Pomp’s locations providing products and services to Fleets within an assigned geographic area
  • Selling PM services, DOT inspections, alignments, breaks, suspension and tire programs
  • Make “Cold-Calls” to other Fleets in assigned area, as required, to increase market share
  • Manage data collection activities for assigned fleets, including, but not limited to, Fleet Surveys, Out of Service Tire Analysis, In Service Tire inspections, and mileage and tread depth information

What You Need:

  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain driving record to Pomp’s standards
    • CDL Preferred
    • Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission
  • 3 – 5 Years of Heavy Truck or Fleet mechanical experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of: Alignments, Suspension, Steering, Brakes, Slack Adjusters, Airbags, Electrical, Batteries, Air Lines, Trailer Readiness, State/Federal Inspections and maintenance programs
  • Proficiency in maintenance programs and diagnostic systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency with MaddenCo and BASys for sales and manufacturing reports, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, or move 25 pounds; occasionally lift, push, or move 75 pounds
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Occasional overnight travel
