Position Objective:Â
The incumbent will be responsible for developing machine CNC machining and cutting programs and maintenance routines on various CNC machines within the facility. In this position, he/she will be working to support NPI programs, improve safety, decrease to cycle time and implement qualityimprovements. This position will also be involved with tooling improvements ensuring operators understand machines and continue improving our understanding and advancement of CNC operators here at Turbofab.Â
Dimensions:Â
Unscheduled system(s) troubleshooting and maintenance may be performed on a dailyÂ
basis. CNC Machine programming will be normally scheduled and performed inÂ
conformance with TurboFab’s Quality and Safety standards. Recommend, evaluate andÂ
implement engineering changes associated with changes to CNC Machining.Â
Nature and ScopeÂ
Develop and modify CNC machining programs. Perform day-to-day troubleshootingÂ
of all automated machining and cutting process problems and execute its solutions. Establishes andmaintains equipment and spare parts list. Provides coaching to operators and determineÂ
coverage for operators when needed. Develop and document machine downtime andÂ
maintenance records.Â
Principal AccountabilitiesÂ
· Understand and comply with TurboFab’s EHS policiesÂ
· Develop offline CNC machine programsÂ
· Assist in the integration, start-up and maintenance of CNC & Cutting programsÂ
· Provide technical expertise with the maintenance and programming of various CNC & Cutting MachinesÂ
· Implement and monitor TurboFab’s CNC & Cutting quality systemÂ
· Performs visual quality inspections on Cut and Machined assembliesÂ
· Provide technical input and support to Cutting and machining process improvement initiativesÂ
· Document electrical and/or mechanical control systems failuresÂ
· Troubleshoot fixture and part fit-up problemsÂ
· Provide training and general support to CNC and Cutting operatorsÂ
Competencies/ QualificationsÂ
RequiredÂ
· Minimum educational requirement- Associate degree or equivalent experienceÂ
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)Â
· Experience working with automated CNC and Cutting machinesÂ
· 3- 5 years’ CNC, PLC, or programming experienceÂ
Desired QualificationsÂ
· Associate’s Degree in manufacturing engineering or a related disciplineÂ
· Tool design and fixturing experienceÂ
· Offline CNC Programming or the motivation to learnÂ

Summary Pay Range:
$72,360.00 - $108,540.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.Â
