Maintenance Technician – JLL

What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the operation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of building systems and facilities across an assigned portfolio. This role performs a wide range of general maintenance, handyman, and light technical repairs in occupied office environments while ensuring a safe, functional, and professional workplace experience for clients and occupants. The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently across multiple locations, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving facility-related issues.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform general building maintenance including drywall repair, painting, ceiling tile replacement, minor carpentry, door and hardware repairs, and furniture installation.

  • Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs including lighting replacements, faucet repairs, toilet repairs, and unclogging drains.

  • Respond to tenant service requests and work orders in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.

  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities, site inspections, office moves, workspace setup, and corrective maintenance tasks.

  • Escort vendors and contractors while ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures.

  • Maintain accurate work order updates, inventory records, and documentation within Corrigo or related systems.

  • Support emergency response activities, after-hours calls, and travel regularly between assigned client locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial building maintenance or general facilities maintenance experience.

  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and door hardware repairs.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to travel between multiple facilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work on ladders up to 30 feet, and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.

  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to pass applicable background, drug/alcohol, and motor vehicle record screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade school certification or vocational training in building maintenance or a related field.

  • OSHA 10 certification.

  • Experience supporting Class A office buildings or multi-site portfolios.

  • Experience working in secure, regulated, or government environments.

  • Familiarity with work order management systems such as Corrigo.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.

  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and vendor coordination.

Salary: $66400 - $96,200.00

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

66,400.00 – 96,200.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
