Description

TPG Pediatrics is looking for a FULL TIME Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.We are a large pediatric practice in Northern Virginia dedicated to excellent patient care. TPG prides itself on providing work-life balance and an opportunity for growth for all of it's employees. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Employee safety is a priority at TPG. We have daily cleaning procedures in place and provide PPE to include OSHA fit testing for all employees.


Daytime weekday schedule between 7:30 and 5:30pm. Once per month rotation in our Saturday clinic (8am-1pm).

Hourly wage differentials are paid for our Saturday morning clinics.


The position is located at our Kingstowne/Franconia location.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, antibiotics, and performs treatments under the direction of the providers.
  • Ensures established patient medical records are updated according to practice protocol including progress notes, immunization records, and other information are in place and computer templates are used.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for the provider’s examination.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND CREDENTIALS:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • MA certification or equivalent
  • 1 year experience preferred, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide patient care.
