SAIC is seeking a Property and Leasing Specialist to support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is desired or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing and/or developing customer leasing requirements, cost estimates, market surveys, site evaluation and selection documents, competitive/sole source acquisition processes, and lease documentation;
  • Developing and implementing real property management and leasing policies and procedures;
  • Preparing real estate briefings, staff papers, and responses to a wide variety of data calls for customers and senior leadership;
  • Evaluating strategic facilities space occupancy metrics and coordinating closely with the customer on future facility requirements based on growing mission requirement;
  • Ensuring the implementation of the Strategic Space Plan.

In this role, you will interact and coordinate daily with numerous stakeholders (senior acquisition leaders, program managers, technical Leads, and external organizations). Daily and weekly coordination may be required to include risk management boards, engineering review boards, and other boards to ensure all parties are informed and all questions are answered.  If you have experience in government real estate acquisition, management, and disposal this is the job for you. You will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs.



  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, or the ability to obtain one. US Citizenship required by federal law.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years relevant experience (e.g., federal or commercial leasing, property management, property valuation).
    • Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FARs), federal property management, and General Services Administration acquisition regulations.
  • Knowledge of real estate appraisals, market surveys, and contracting actions.
  • Ability to think strategically and follow through with facility plans and programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) best practices for facilities space standards.
  • Professional Project Management Certification.
  • Knowledge of Archibus.
