Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experience SETA to review designs and technical approaches assisting the customer with technical assessments on the viability and suitability of design approaches. The SETA is expected to utilized system engineering skills to support customer-integrated systems and internal processes.  They will also be expected to provide recommendations to improve the probability of success of the customer's programs.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide recommendations on the customer's current systems to include enhancements and innovations
  • Provide systems engineering support to projects
  • Identify and assess technical risks and provided recommendations for mitigations
  • Provide independent assessment of projects
  • Develop test strategies for the evaluation of systems, both from development contractors as well as customer-integrated systems
  • Attend design, monthly, and other reviews, document results of these meetings, solicit and integrate comments from customer, and provide recommendations to customer
  • Fully document all developmental requirements and deliver to customer for evaluation
  • Assist in the review and assessment of contractor deliverables

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with relevant polygraph
  • 12 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related technical discipline, or 10 years of experience with a master’s, or 7 years of experience with a PhD.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design, development, and testing of hardware
  • The candidate should possess a strong background in systems engineering processes
  • Systems Engineering and technical experience of RF systems
    • Be able to analyze and assess the performance of various RF systems
  • Good organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

 

Desired:

  • Master's degree or higher in engineering, science, or other related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in the design, development, and testing of field deployable hardware
  • Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and development/testing of network communications required across operating systems

 

Travel requirements:

  • Domestic travel to support programmatic reviews
  • Potential overseas travel to support projects

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
