This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and provides support to design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical guidance and support for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Provides technical support to application and tool development teams.
  • Coordinates with software architect and other technical delivery team members to overcome technical obstacles.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Communicates with other program personnel and government staff
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Eight (8) or more years' experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc.
  • Ability to derive an understanding of stakeholder needs and functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness from system requirements
  • Experience supporting system requirements and system integration at the enterprise level
  • Experience following a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
  • Experience with Agile project management principles and processes
Desired Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) or more years' experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc.
  • Experience supporting the federal government or DoD
Clearance: TS/SCI w poly is required
