Title:

Model and Simulation Systems Engineer

KBR seeks a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support an Intelligence Community Space customer. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of government space architecture and systems, insight into resiliency mission fundamentals, and the ability to perform modeling and simulation of complex space systems in a Digital Engineering Environment. Modeling and Simulation activities will support the development and validation of requirements, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), architecture products, and the development and integration of simulation and analysis tools for space system resilience-related activities in the overall Enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Modeling and simulation of space systems, space, and ground segments
  • Provide technical expertise in systems and engineering to support resilience enterprise mission operations activities, programs, systems, and processes
  • Support modeling and simulation, including threat assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses
  • Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings
  • Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the STEM field
  • 5+ years' experience in the space systems domain
  • Prior experience with satellite systems
  • Experience in modeling and simulation
  • Experience analyzing and summarizing data with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports
Desired Qualifications:

  • Object-Oriented Design and Analysis experience
  • Experience with orbital analysis tools such as Ansys Systems Toolkit (STK)
  • Prior experience with resilience mission fundamentals
  • Prior experience with sensor modeling
  • Experience with UML/SysML/UAF models
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Familiarity with IC and/or DoD
