Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Electronics Warehouse Associate to support the processing, organization, and movement of computers, servers, and other technology assets within our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) operation.
This is an entry-level position designed for someone with warehouse, recycling, production, or similar hands-on experience who is interested in learning more about computers and electronics. You do not need to be a computer technician to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with their hands, and eager to learn.
The Electronics Warehouse Associate works alongside our ITAD Operations team to receive and organize equipment, process inventory, harvest reusable components, prepare assets for resale or recycling, and fulfill customer orders. This role also provides an opportunity to develop hands-on technical skills and build a foundation for future growth into an ITAD Technician position.
What You'll Do
- Receive, sort, label, and process incoming laptops, desktops, servers, and other electronic equipment
- Move and organize inventory throughout the ITAD warehouse operations
- Inspect equipment and identify basic hardware and components with training
- Safely disassemble equipment and harvest reusable components using basic hand tools
- Assist with basic part replacements, upgrades, and equipment preparation under the direction of ITAD Technicians
- Scan assets and accurately enter inventory information into company systems
- Support established data security and chain-of-custody procedures
- Prepare equipment for testing, resale, recycling, or downstream processing
- Pick, pack, and prepare e-commerce and other customer orders for shipment
- Follow established quality, safety, and productivity standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with ITAD Technicians, warehouse associates, and supervisors to keep equipment moving efficiently through the operation
What We're Looking For
- Warehouse, recycling, production, fulfillment, retail, or other hands-on work experience
- Interest in computers, electronics, and learning how technology works
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware or components is helpful, but not required
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and learning equipment disassembly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and warehouse systems
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent productivity and quality standards
- Strong time-management and communication skills
- Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and take direction from supervisors and experienced technicians
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Commitment to following established warehouse and workplace safety procedures
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally assist with moving heavier equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using appropriate equipment or team-lifting procedures
- Stand and walk for most of the workday
- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch while processing equipment
- Occasionally climb stairs or ladders and work in different areas of the warehouse
- Safely perform repetitive hands-on tasks associated with sorting, disassembly, inventory movement, and order preparation
