Job Description

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Full Time in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment for patients, visitors, and staff while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
