Overview:
Pherson is seeking a Senior Instructor/Facilitator to support our Leader Development team at our client site in Springfield, VA. The selected candidate will design, develop, and deliver advanced leadership training, facilitate high-impact learning engagements, and provide subject-matter expertise in leadership principles and organizational development. This role will guide learners through experiential activities, support curriculum refinement, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training aligns with mission priorities and enterprise leadership competencies. This role is part of an active program and is contingent on funding with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026.

Operating Hours and Expectations: This position anticipates onsite work with standard work hours, Monday-Friday; occasional optional telework will be approved on a case-by-case basis
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Eligibility
Position Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $140,000-160,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructs and facilitates courses for adult learners at all levels especially intermediate and advanced levels of learning
- Serves as a senior instructor for assigned courses.
- Provides strong communication and interpersonal skills and possess excellent writing and briefing skills to deliver instructor-led in-person and online courses.
- Creates curriculum and conducts curriculum maintenance.
- Adjusts curriculum and develops new curriculum based on stakeholder, student feedback, and market research across the DoD, Intelligence Community and industry.
- Anticipates and meets the needs of the Leadership and Supervisory Learning Solutions Program.
- Provides formal, informal, or non-formal training.
- Instructs and facilitates courses for senior executives and leaders at all organizational levels.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or any concentration
- Minimum of 10 years managing the design, development, delivery and maintenance of Leadership and Professional Development training for adult learners at all levels (particularly intermediate and advanced levels of learning).
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in industry, academia, government or military that included effectively supervising/managing people and leading programs.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in organizational change management and strategy and on how to implement and sustain change.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilitating and delivering leadership and organizational management courses, workshops, offsites, etc.
Desired:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Leadership, Executive Leadership, Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Leadership, Leader Development, Leadership & Supervision or similar degree that provides knowledge and education of adult learning and the development of organizational leaders or senior executives.
- Experience supporting Leadership, Supervisory and Professional Development Programs.
- Demonstrated experience within the Intelligence Community.
- Knowledge of the NGA organizational structure, mission, vision, goals, core values and strategic objectives and understand the government operating environment within the Intelligence Community, DoD, NSG, and ASG.
- Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience or certification to develop content.
- Experience facilitating and instructing adult learners both in-person and virtually.
- Demonstrated experience with NGA Human Development Policies and Procedures.
- An International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or higher (PCC or MCC)
- Experienced supervisor with significant expertise in IC and DoD Leadership, Supervisory and Managerial policy and procedures.
