Job DetailsJob Location: Alexandria, VA 22312Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: GovernmentMayvin is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to provide analysis support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive, Maritime, Expeditionary Missions (PMS 408).  The ideal candidate possesses a strong background and experience supporting defense acquisition programs through their work as an acquisition support specialist, and in applying formal model-based systems engineering techniques and tools in executing Systems Engineering (SE) activities consistent with Industry, DoW, and DoN standards and best practices.   Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active Secret clearance.   Responsibilities:  Support systems engineering technical reviews (SETR) and milestone decisions as well as other acquisition events and acquisition processes (e.g., configuration management), to include the development of required technical documents, drawings, and related models as well as technical data package (TDP) components Requirements analysis, modeling with traceability between requirements and from requirements to system/subsystems, to system functionality, and to test constructs and other model objects\ Develop and manage architecture frameworks and leverage reference models, including the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and Naval Federated Architecture Reference Models (NFARM) Test support, including development of Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix (RTVMs), Performance Specifications (PSPECs), and test plans in modeling tools Apply industry/DoW/DoN Systems Engineering guidance, including INCOSE SE Handbook, to manage systems, system components, systems of systems, families of systems, and enterprise architectures Apply standard modeling languages, including Unified Modeling Language, Systems Modeling Language, and Unified Architecture Framework, to conduct SE activities Employ DoN-approved modeling tools and MBSE environments, including the Naval Integrated Modeling Environment (Naval IME) and Cameo Systems Model, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, and Teamwork Cloud and conduct simulation and other analysis (including but not limited to trade-off analysis) Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science (or minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a related technical field) Minimum 5 years of experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle and systems engineering processes (e.g., per DoDI 5000.97) Ability to work onboard Navy ships or other platforms for short testing periods Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment Ability to identify problems and provide solutions Ability to generate, evaluate, and guide technical reports, briefings, and other stakeholder communications Demonstrated proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with MS Project   Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science INCOSE Certification (Certified Systems Engineering Professional) or ESEP (Expert Systems Engineering Professional) DAU/DOD Digital Engineering Credentials CENG 001, CLE 084, and/or LOG 0590 DoD 8140/8570 Certifications to overlap with Cyber and IT work (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or CEH) Operationally relevant Navy or Joint Warfighter experience; particularly as it relates to Expeditionary Medical organizations Experience in drafting Acquisition documents through the JCIDs process and understanding Milestones A through C   About Mayvin Mayvin is more than a workplace—it’s a community built on innovation, ingenuity, and impact.  Enjoy outstanding benefits and amenities, a truly supportive work environment, and continuous opportunities for professional growth.
