Our client is a General Contractor based in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded over 30 years ago, they have made a name for themselves in the residential and commercial segments of the historical renovation/restoration market. They also build ground-up projects in both of these sectors and have a project mix of about 70%/30% residential/commercial. Description

The Estimator - Historical Renovation and Commercial Construction - Charleston will be responsible for:

• Analyzing construction blueprints and other documents to prepare time frames, costs, material, and labor estimates
• Preparing bid packages, development budgets, and analyzing subcontractor bids for use in conceptual and bid proposal estimates
• Establishing pricing and conducting comparison activities
• Working closely with construction project management team to maintain estimate throughout project
• Consulting with vendors and internal project teams to resolve issues
• Establishing and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships

Profile

The successful Estimator - Historical Renovation and Commercial Construction - Charleston will be responsible for:

• At least 2 years estimating experience
• Ability to perform take-offs and organize conceptual budget pricing
• Must be a self-starter and understand deadlines.
• Must have good phone and excellent people skills.
• Must be proficient with project/estimating related software including Timberline
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Drafting Software highly preferred

Job Offer

The successful Estimator - Historical Renovation and Commercial Construction - Charleston will be responsible for:

• Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $80,000-90,000
• Discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance
• PTO and sick days
