We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join our team for large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitors performance. Essential Responsibilities:
Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codesÂ
 Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigationsÂ
Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedulesÂ
 Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projectsÂ
Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the projectÂ
Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiationsÂ
Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field teamÂ
Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and SuperintendentsÂ
Qualifications:Â
8 plus years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction SuperintendentÂ
Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipmentÂ
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an assetÂ
Effective Communication and leadership skillsÂ
Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractorsÂ
Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issuesÂ
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
Strong organizational and planning skillsÂ
Working Conditions:
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.) Â
This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites through multiple states
