Field Maintenance Specialist –Charleston, West Virginia (Traveling Role)
AGC Heat Transfer, the leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, is seeking a Field Maintenance Specialist to support customers across the U.S. We are looking for a skilled, customer‑driven Field Maintenance Specialist based in Charleston, West Virginia. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands‑on work, travel, and direct customer interaction.
FLSA Status - Non Exempt - Hourly
Reports to:Â Service Maintenance Manager
Role Responsibilities
Perform Plate Check™ and tubular heat exchanger inspections
Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision
Conduct on‑site customer training
Travel >15 days/month (including some weekends)
Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow‑up communication
Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs
Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours
Mentor new technicians as needed
Required Qualifications
Prior experience as a traveling technician
High school diploma or GED
Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Maintenance background
Dairy/food manufacturing experience
Plate heat exchanger knowledge
