Job Details
Summary of Job Function: Performs assessment, reassessment, evaluation, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy to Prestera consumers. Works with Prestera staff to assure that authorization for services and treatment planning activities are completed accurately and within timeframe established.

Essential Functions:
1. Engages and communicates effectively with consumers and families, physicians, and all team members.
2. Completes assessments/reassessments to identify needs of the consumer.
3. Conducts mental hygiene evaluations and associated documentation within timeframe designated by agency policy/guideline as requested.
4. Reviews and cosigns psychosocial assessments and authorizations for services completed by non-credentialed staff. Provide feedback/education for staff as needed.
5. Meets identified productivity standards per agency guidelines.
6. Provides individual, group, and family therapy as scheduled.
7. Completes assessments and daily documentation within established timeframe.
8. Leads and participates in treatment team meetings and signs off on treatment plans for authorization purposes.
9. Completes psychological evaluations and associated report within agency policy/guideline.
10. Provides first aid and CPR as instructed in training.
11. Utilizes Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) if needed.
12. Attends all departmental and center meetings/trainings as assigned.
13. Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies and procedures including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
14. Utilizes technology provided such as telehealth in order to perform job efficiently and effectively.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
1. Education, Certification/License, and/or Experience
a. Must possess an MA or higher in psychology from an accredited college or university.
b. Must possess a license from the WV Board of Examiners of Psychologists and maintain license throughout employment with Prestera Center.
c. Attain and maintain certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and CPR/First Aid throughout employment with Prestera Center.
d. Must possess and maintain valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation during working hours throughout employment with Prestera Center.
2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Must have (1) knowledge of psychological treatment principles, practices, and procedures; (2) knowledge of safety and risk management principles (3) and the ability to assess consumers needs and coordinate appropriate care plan. Must also possess the ability to read, write reports, perform basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing), have good computer skills, and possess good verbal and written communication skills. Experience or prior training working with mental health and substance abuse population is preferred.
