Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + overtime + 2× pay for on-call/after-hours work
Reports To: Project Manager
- Lead mitigation crews and support the Project Manager with daily job site operations.
- Communicate workflow, expectations, and safety procedures clearly to team members.
- Execute job action plans and ensure all tasks are completed to DRYmedic standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Perform demolition, material removal, and cleanup for items that cannot be restored.
- Operate extractors, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other mitigation equipment as necessary.
- Identify, place, monitor, and adjust drying equipment based on moisture readings and site conditions.
- Respond to water, mold, and storm-related mitigation jobs, often in crawlspaces, attics, or confined areas.
- Use company software to document job progress, moisture readings, equipment logs, and site conditions.
- Take clear photos throughout all stages of a project.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, subcontractors, and insurance representatives.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe job site in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, including respirators (clean-shaven requirement).
- Restock vehicles, clean equipment, and help maintain readiness for upcoming jobs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable daily transportation to the Charleston office.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working in heat, humidity, crawlspaces, heights, and storm-damaged structures.
- Basic proficiency with email, mobile apps, and job documentation tools.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Clean-shaven to comply with respirator fit requirements (OSHA).
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (paid OT, 2× pay for after-hours calls).
- IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, AMRT).
- 1–3 years of restoration, mitigation, or construction experience.
- Prior crew leadership experience.
- Knowledge of local Charleston building styles, crawlspace environments, and coastal moisture challenges.
