Assigns duties to employees and provides daily guidance, mentoring, and supervision. Communicates the agency’s financial, strategic, and all other applicable updates. Provides, reviews, and ensures employees receive instruction/training needed to successfully complete their assigned job responsibilities. Ensures that employees are aware of, and adhere to, appropriate company policies and procedures. Provides input into the maintenance and upkeep of departmental job descriptions. Prepares and conducts performance appraisals. Supports department budget by reviewing purchase requests and being a good steward of spending. Participates in hiring, disciplinary, and termination procedures.   Oversees quality of services and safety of the program to ensure success. Ensures successful adherence to accrediting and regulatory bodies governing programs and services. Conducts chart reviews to ensure staff documentation meets standards of care and policy. Conducts audits of timekeeping and performance to ensure persons served receive appropriate service at the level required.   Creates partnerships, including memorandums of understanding, to serve grant-identified populations. Works with Region 5 community partners to promote awareness events focused on youth and family recovery. Builds partnerships to strengthen service systems and to ensure long-term sustainability. QualificationsProfessional & Technical Knowledge: Possesses the equivalent of formal training in behavioral health, usually in the form of a major in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Criminal Justice as part of a Bachelor’s Degree program. Prior supervision or demonstrated leadership required. Continuing Education: Maintains current knowledge of standards of care and practices as typically acquired through continuing education. Licenses & Certifications: A valid state-issued driver’s license is required. Technical Skills: Prepares more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements. Uses Microsoft Excel for basic to moderate functions. Creates basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. Demonstrates necessary proficiency with all electronic clinical systems, including EHR and scheduling systems, in use at the Company. General Development: Displays more advanced organizational skills to organize projects or the work of others. Devises effective solutions to situations encountered based on the general goals and objectives of the function. Able to effectively communicate opinions drawn from conclusions using inference and logic. Resolves conflicts that may arise because of disagreements between employees, between employees and customers/persons served, or with the public, other legal entities, or governmental authorities. Work Environment: Work is performed in a public, customer-facing, high-traffic environment. At times, work may involve working with disruptive or distressed individuals.
