Restaurant Administrator

Halls Chophouse | Charleston, SC


The Restaurant Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of Halls Chophouse Charleston. Working closely with restaurant leadership and our Home Office, this position oversees accounts payable, inventory administration, cash controls, and day-to-day administrative functions that keep the restaurant operating smoothly.


We're seeking someone with restaurant or hospitality experience who is organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoys solving problems. Who You Are:


Restaurant & Hospitality Focused

You understand the pace and expectations of hospitality and enjoy supporting a high-performing restaurant team. Fine dining or upscale hospitality experience is a plus.


Organized & Accountable

You manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through with accuracy and attention to detail. You take ownership of your work and can operate independently when needed.


Comfortable with Numbers & Technology

You have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and basic Excel proficiency. You are comfortable working with invoices, reports, inventory data, and learning new systems.


Resourceful Problem Solver

You investigate discrepancies, ask questions, and work toward solutions while knowing when to escalate issues.


Strong Communicator

You build positive relationships with managers, chefs, team members, vendors, and the Home Office. You are professional, approachable, and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Process and review invoices and purchase orders accurately and on time

• Ensure invoices are coded, approved, and properly documented

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain organized accounts payable records

• Communicate with vendors, management, and the Home Office to resolve issues


Inventory Management

• Maintain inventory records and reports

• Assist with inventory counts, reconciliation, and transfers

• Coordinate new inventory item setup and supply ordering

• Work with chefs and managers to ensure inventory accuracy

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies


Restaurant Administration & Operations

• Manage daily administrative needs and maintain records

• Oversee cash procedures, deposits, petty cash, and safe accountability

• Research outstanding house accounts and receivables

• Coordinate deliveries, appointments, and operational support needs

• Prepare reports and communicate key information to management

• Support restaurant leadership with projects and administrative initiatives
