Summary:

The Talent & Development Intern will gain hands-on experience in the strategic Learning & Development (L&D) function, directly contributing to workforce upskilling and organizational change management. This role involves supporting key initiatives and daily operations across three main areas: strategic project support (process improvement, change management, competency model development), L&D operations and analytics (grant management, LMS support, survey design, learning analytics), and internal communications (drafting engaging content to inform and motivate teams). This experience offers invaluable exposure to the full lifecycle of corporate L&D and Talent Management, equipping the intern with practical skills in HR technology, data analysis, and professional communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with state and federal grants for training and development initiatives, including the application process, managing support documentation, handling submittals, and ensuring reimbursement.
  • Support the implementation of learning and development experiences and generate content designed to improve organizational performance and professional growth.
  • Manage LMS operations including learner and course administration, reporting, analytics, and end-user support.
  • Create and distribute surveys to gather feedback, improve processes, and identify skill gaps.
  • Help create and distribute a quarterly learning newsletter and other training communications.
  • Curate learning resources to support a variety of roles and operations.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for learning programs, including preparing materials, managing training data, and assisting with various projects.
  • Give onsite support for training programs as needed; facilitate and lead training programs as appropriate.
  • Carry out administrative tasks within the Lattice performance management system.
  • Revise and update learning materials and courses based on feedback and evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with instructional design software to create and enhance course content, ensuring materials are aligned with learning objectives and company standards.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met for all talent management related initiatives.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in a career in Human Resources or Talent & Development.
  • Eager to learn and assist team members.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality; tact and discretion are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to see and hear (correctable).
  • Able to communicate verbally.
  • Able to use a computer keyboard.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
