Tooling Coordinator

Position: ToolControlSpecialist

Location: Charleston, SC

Department: North American Operations

Position Purpose: A ToolControlSpecialistensuresthe efficiency and effectiveness of production processes, maintaining a smooth operation of equipment and ensuring high-qualityproduction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.

• Workssafelyat all times.

• Design, develop, and maintain metal removal cutting tools.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machining cutting tools.

• Conduct testing and analysis of cutting tools to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department and vendorson a global scale.

• Train and lead team members in toolingprocesses and standards.

• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and procedures.

• Utilize Pareto Analysis for process improvement.

• Create and interpret tool layout drawings and regrind standards.

• Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.

• All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

• Expert-level knowledge of machining cutting tools.

• Strong understanding of GD&T, cutting tool geometry/formulas, cutting force, tool path, and high-volume machining processes.

• Proficiency in CNCmachining and AutoCAD.

• Competence with all MS Office Products.

• Familiarity with inventory control and CPU calculations.

• Ability to read and draw tool layout drawings and regrind standards.

Position Qualifications:

• 2-YearDegree in Tool and Die or Machining.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Willingness to work off shifts, on call and weekends as necessary.

• Ability to manage time without extensive supervision.

• Must havehigh-levelproficiencywith all MS Office Products.

• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Required to talk and/or hear in anindustrial setting (noise level ismoderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfacesfor4-12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
