Job Summary

We are seeking a Program & Commercial Officer that will take lead and manage all customer accounts for the Forgings, Blades and Vanes in the US East Sites, Muncie & North Charlestown, mainly focus on delivery performance. In addition, the role will take responsibility for all, Business Reviews (BR4’s), delivery commits communication, open NPI`s (ā€œNew Product Implementationā€), and critical Products within the IPT account, Ā and bring the products through lifecycle gate 7.0 through close collaboration with NPI resources including coordination, and support Customer and Operations on critical Programs.


The Program and Commercial Officer for Blades and Vanes will reports to the Program and Commercial Manager Military Programs, as part of the IPT and is a member of the Program’s team. This is an onsite position at either at the North Charlestown, NH or at Muncie, IN Facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Ā  Ā Supports the execution of the program (including changes) to comply with all the business case and contractual requirements for their products until LG7.Ā 
• Ā  Ā Acts as the voice of the customer
• Ā  Ā Responsible for planning and performance of Life Cycle Gate, including preceding Reviews.
• Ā  Ā Engage in resolving delinquency & quality issues, to support customer requirements
• Ā  Ā Support in any customer audit or assessment
• Ā  Ā Responsible for continuously monitoring the performance of the allocated programs, managing off-track items and for reporting progress.Ā 
• Ā  Ā Actively executes Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management to control and mitigate the risk exposure and take advantage of opportunities.
• Ā  Ā Manage green customer score cards
• Ā  Ā Manage the day-to-day interaction with the customer regarding schedule adherence and provide recovery plans when required.
• Ā  Ā Report status within the BR4’s and clarify key details on progress of the programs.Ā 
• Ā  Ā Ensure Ā the site is compliant with the approved business case and awarded contract based on hours and product cost
• Ā  Ā Monitory NPI’s and report any internal or external escalations to mitigate impacts to the program- Needs expansion on roles and responsibilities on Engineering vs Programs
• Ā  Ā Customer support with delivery issues that impact scorecards, performance that can trigger claims. Ensure recovery plans are executed and improved.Ā 
• Ā  Ā Support cross functional communication to ensure timely resolution of problems involving customer and GKN Ā 
• Ā  Ā Ensuring timely execution of change proposals or approvals at customer
• Ā  Ā Adheres to all program management standards and policies in accordance with the GKN Aerospace Program Management framework and contribute to process development.Ā 
• Ā  Ā Actively executes Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management to control and mitigate the risk exposure and take advantage of opportunities.
• Ā  Ā Responsible for planning and performance of Life Cycle Gate, including preceding Reviews.
• Ā  Ā Take ownership of the tools in use and secure adherence at all times
• Ā  Ā Responsible for undertaking any other activity required to ensure successful delivery of the Program/Project.

Job Qualifications

• Ā  Ā BS degree in engineering, science or business, or at least five years of relevant business experience
• Ā  Ā Be proficient in the fundamentals of Program Management, Finance and LEAN principles
• Ā  Ā Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, organizational and communication skills
• Ā  Ā Passion for the Aerospace industry
