We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PAas a Refrigeration & HVAC Technician.Â

This position will be responsible for providing general mechanical and electrical maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and building related to commercial HVAC. Other tasks include working with production to increase efficiencies and reduce downtime, providing preventative maintenance, and assist with completing work orders.Â

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipmentÂ
Identifying maintenance risks on equipmentÂ
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on all HVAC systemsÂ
Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing HVAC systemsÂ
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyÂ
Provide technical direction and on-the-job trainingÂ
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functionsÂ
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and within OSHA guidelinesÂ
Complying with service standards, work instructions, and requirementsÂ
Responsible for all equipment for manufacturing, distributing, and maintaining safe quality food by following good manufacturing practices, food defense, HACCP, SQF requirements, and HVAC temperaturesÂ
Maintain maintenance standards for efficiencies, continuous improvement, safety, and quality Â
Responsible for maintaining and servicing production equipment, completing work orders, and documenting activities Â
Maximize OEE, fulfilling preventative and predictive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, BBSO’s, and driving corrective actions Â
Setup and operate various power tools and equipmentÂ
Troubleshooting skills both in electrical and mechanicalÂ
Building and maintaining automation systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)Â
Participating in Energy efficiency / cost saving projectsÂ
Sheet metal fabrication and installationÂ
Operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, etc.)Â
Operating exhaust and ventilation systems, along with maintaining pressure dependent areasÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ

Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:Â Â
High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalentÂ
5+ years experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC fieldÂ
Possess a Type 4 Universal EPA certificationÂ
Valid driver's licenseÂ
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heatingÂ
Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocolsÂ

Other qualifications:Â Â
Sheet metal fabrication; welding (TIG, MIG, stick experience needed); solderingÂ
Arc flashing training / OSHA knowledgeÂ
CMMS software knowledgeÂ
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsÂ

Knowledge/experience in food/beverage manufacturing facilityÂ

WORK ENVIRONMENTÂ
Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.  Â

This position will be required to visit the production floor, refrigerated and frozen storage, and warehouses.Â
Required to work outside in external temperatures from below freezing to extreme heat, including external weather conditionsÂ

The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $31.00 and $38.00 per hour. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
