Groundskeeper MD

Job Purpose:

To cut grass, trim, edge and clean grass areas, patios, sidewalks and roadways. To help maintenance staff with painting, transporting and minor maintenance repairs.

Salary Range: $16.00–$24.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

•    Cut grass on approximately 50 acres of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home using lawn mower, tractors and string trimmers

•    To clean all areas around the outside of the buildings

•    To help paint the exterior items and equipment around the Facility and grounds area

•    To perform minor maintenance repairs

•    Operate tractors for grass cutting and snow removal

•    Perform duties required to meet emergencies and special occasions such as fire, storms, power outages, water breaks

•    Responsible for knowing locations and general operation of critical equipment and systems

•    Must be able to work effectively and harmoniously with residents, visitors and· co-workers·

•    Perform other related assignments as required.

Qualifications:

•    Must be high school or vocational graduate

•    Must have 2 years experience in general maintenance field.
