What You will Do:

  • Partner with design engineering teams to develop and maintain product definitions for Industrial Generators and Heaters supporting new product development, modernization programs, and service applications. Define upgrades, repair methodologies, and new component configurations.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of complex 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings to establish accurate product definition baselines. Ensure all models and drawings meet internal drafting standards and configuration control requirements.
  • Own the release of product definition documentation including component drawings, assembly drawings, transmittal documentation, and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs/ECOs). Ensure timely and accurate implementation of engineering changes.
  • Create, structure, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP, ensuring alignment between engineering definition and manufacturing systems. Develop complete product structures to support procurement, manufacturing, and service operations.
  • Support Design Reviews by validating product definition accuracy, manufacturability, and serviceability. Ensure proper form, fit, and function across rotors, stators, exciters, collectors, and heater assemblies.
  • Develop and validate NX / CREO 3D design models for analysis, configuration control, and downstream manufacturing processes. Release product definition packages including drawings, specifications, graphics, and process documentation required for production and field service.
  • Maintain configuration integrity by updating unit product structures following service repair orders and modernization efforts. Ensure traceability of revisions and compliance with internal quality standards.
  • Communicate technical, schedule, and cost impacts related to product definition activities to management and cross-functional stakeholders.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Five years related product definition, engineering work experience preferred. Candidates with more years of experience can be considered for a higher level. Alternatively, candidates with fewer years of experience can be considered for a lower level.
  • Expertise with 3D Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) program and the creation of engineering documents and reports. Project or team experience with demonstrated delivery of work in a technical environment. Ability to handle different projects and goals and to lead / interact with intra-organizational teams
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Projects, Procurement and Suppliers to acquire consensus in developing new apparatus, modification, and repair product definition design details. Strong communication and collaboration skills required to work with internal teams, including field and factory personnel, engineering teams, and management across multiple sites and countries.
  • Knowledge and experience in design and, or repair of products. Familiar with generator products, SAP, Teamcenter, 3D Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) programs, NX, and/or CREO preferred.

Pay Range: ($30 to $35/hr).聽

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.


Work Requirements:This role is considered an on-site position located in Charlotte, NC.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.聽聽
