Job Overview

We are looking for a visionary and experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic design and evolution of our retail technology ecosystem. The Enterprise Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions under the Enterprise Architecture scope. Solutions include, but not limited to, loyalty engines, ecommerce engines, content management systems, digital asset management systems, mobile apps, websites, personalization engines, recommendation engines, customer data platforms, master data platforms, in-store digital screens, ERP, HRMS, and POS.

The Enterprise Architect understands the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. The architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. The architect creates deliverables that enable the creation and management of a portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems, shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.

The ideal candidate understands the fast-changing retail landscape and can align technology with business goals to drive growth, operational efficiency, and personalized customer experiences.

The Enterprise Architect reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture.

  • Technology Governance: Establish and enforce architectural principles and governance processes to ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, and secure.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage the enterprise application and technology portfolio, identifying opportunities to modernize, consolidate, and innovate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, communicating complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • Innovation & Research: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and architectural best practices, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide solution architects and development teams, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach to technology design and implementation.

  • Deep understanding of retail operations and technologies, including e-commerce, POS, inventory management, supply chain, and customer engagement
  • Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
