JOB SUMMARY:Â
The Senior Auditor will perform audits throughout the Bank. Â This role will ensure that adequate internal controls are in place, maintained and functioning properly. Policies and procedures are followed and in compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, the Senior Auditor aids the less experienced Associate Auditors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Perform audit within assigned areas and generate documentation showing results and findings of the audit.
•   Evaluate adequacy of existing controls, identifying weak or missing controls and making recommendations to strengthen controls.
•   Responsible for the preparation of the memos and reports to communicate audit findings to line management.
•   Document recommendation of audit findings needing resolution and follow up as necessary.
•   Responsible for managing the exception tracking reports and ensuring data is accurate and updated.
•   Work closely with Audit Manager on various projects such as the preparation of risk assessments, sample selection, and challenge the Audit Programs
•   Coordinate audits by assigning audit steps to staff, setting timelines and providing progress reports and ensuring audit completion timely.
•   Provide guidance to staff to include answering questions, helping with GRC and conducting preliminary review of work papers.
•   Collaborate with Corporate Auditor and the Audit Managers in work with Bank Examiners and external auditors.
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
•   Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Direct experience in Audit may be substituted.
•   Minimum of four (4) years of professional work in Audit in required
•   Experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry is required
•   CPA, CIA, CFSA, CRCM, CTA or similar credentials are preferred.
•   Prior experience with regulatory audits such as BSA and Dodd-Frank highly desired
•   Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
•   Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•   Strong interpersonal skills
•   Ability to perform simple and complex mathematical calculations strong problem-solving skills
•   Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
•   Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of bank personnel from staff to senior executives.
•   Ability to travel as business needs arises is required
