Job Description:
- Client is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and a proven work ethic to support Market Counterparty Risk Management initiatives.
- This role is ideal for someone who can rationalize complex scenarios, work deeply with source and action data, and bridge the gap between technical execution and business decision-making.
- The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in environments where data accuracy, auditability, and efficiency is critical.
- Candidate will work closely with risk, technology, and leadership teams to deliver insights that directly support business and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret source and action data to support counterparty risk assessments
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Review and enhance audit logārelated code, improving efficiency, performance, and traceability
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies; propose actionable solutions
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise insights for senior leadership
- Support scenario analysis and rationalization for risk-related use cases
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to ensure analytical solutions align with real-world business needs
- Document logic, assumptions, and methodologies to support audit and governance requirements

Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Demonstrated ability to rationalize scenarios and make data-driven decisions
- Understanding of audit logs, data lineage, and control frameworks
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership
- High level of accountability, ownership, and work ethic
- Ability to think like a developer, while understanding and supporting business use cases

Nice to Have:
- Experience in Capital Markets or Market Risk / Counterparty Risk
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or Power BI
- Background in financial services or regulated environments
