This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the evolving energy production landscape.     RRC CORE VALUES  Must understand and personify RRC’s core values:   Client Satisfaction – understands the goal of always exceeding our client’s expectations    Employee Happiness – able to work well with others, communicate clearly with coworkers, promote a positive work environment, and mediate conflicts between team members  Quality Work - able to take ownership, work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time while working on multiple projects simultaneously  Above and Beyond - versatile, flexible, able to anticipate the needs of the company, take the initiative, and willing to go out of your way to assist others    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Develop and review civil engineering designs for renewable energy projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and foundations.  Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to optimize structural and civil components.  Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry’s best practices.  Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables.  Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and project summaries.  Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to complete work assignments using computer modelling software  Create and review drawings using CAD tools  Ensure sites meet legal guidelines and health and safety requirements  Deliver civil engineering designs and optimization in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices  Day-to-day management of assigned projects  Plan, define project tasks, schedule, and deliver on-time execution of civil scope of work and project deliverables  Work closely with the RRC Project Managers and Civil Engineering Group Manager in the successful execution of work  Be responsive to the needs of the client and project requirements  Maintain accurate records of design modifications, field observations, and project milestones.  Contribute to the development of best practices, standard operating procedures, and engineering guidelines.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina 4 to 8 years of strong experience in civil engineering design with consulting Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred Experience in renewable energy projects is a plus Knowledge of hydrological methods: Rational method, Small Watershed Method, SCS Hydrological Soils (NRCS) Knowledge of commonly used software for civil engineering including: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, HY-8, etc. Proficient with office software including MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe, etc. BENEFITS RRC is committed to investing in talented employees because we recognize that healthy, happy employees provide the best path to sustaining a successful business.
