This eight-room invasive cardiology procedural area includes two hybrid labs and is one of Charlotte’s largest and highest-acuity invasive cardiology programs. The team operates three electrophysiology labs on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and four on Wednesday, serving adult patients exclusively. Procedures include electrophysiology studies; catheter ablations using pulsed field, radiofrequency, and cryoablation technologies; concomitant Watchman procedures for atrial fibrillation; cardioversions; loop recorder implants; device and laser lead extractions; and implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular devices, and leadless systems such as Micra and Aveir.
