Description

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned company vehicles and the delivery of petroleum products to company owned sites and customers. The Fuel Truck Driver must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, customer service, and operational excellence.


This position requires approximately 75% travel to support customer locations and business operations. The successful candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel, schedule flexibility, and extended time away from the primary reporting location as business needs require.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company fuel delivery trucks in accordance with company policies, DOT/FMCSA regulations, and all applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Load, transport, and unload petroleum products while following established safety procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time to support customer locations and operational needs, with flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and routes.
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain company vehicles, equipment and related facilities in accordance with company standards.
  • Complete and submit delivery documentation, logs, and required paperwork accurately, and timely.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient delivery operations.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and company policies. .

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and an acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) REQUIRED or ability to obtain one within 30 days after hire.
  • Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazardous material transportation experience preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete DOT required pre-employment drug testing.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA qualification standards, including a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Availability to work weekends and extended hours as business needs require.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
