Wells Fargo is seeking a Payment Networks Business Execution Senior Manager to lead our Payment Network Office (PNO), which manages our strategic relationship with Visa and Mastercard, and is part of the Enterprise Strategy and Merchant Services organization. This individual will engage in contract management, contact negotiations, and business development for the Payment Network Office interactions across the firm.  They will lead the team’s evolution to provide enterprise-wide strategic planning and management of the payment networks relationships.  This position requires working collaboratively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to ensure their alignment and drive the successful integration of Network capabilities, best practices for payment network rules and updates and incentive tracking.
In this role, you will:
Work directly with the Payment Networks (Visa and Mastercard) and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities that solve business and customer pain points through Payment Network assets and products including digital technologies, cyber & security solutions, artificial intelligence platforms, data and analytics and fraud capabilities.
Manage relationships with multiple business lines and functional partners including Product, Marketing, Benefits, Fraud, Risk and legal to drive alignment across key stakeholders.
Develop the strategy and business case for each opportunity.
Foster and leverage Network relationships to influence their product roadmaps and negotiate Statements of Work with the Networks.
Oversee cross-functional project management teams responsible for implementing the solutions.
Track results related to business cases and make recommendations to enhance performance.Â
Leverage your deep knowledge of Payment Networks and their solutions to provide specialized Subject Matter Expertise to business lines on Network capabilities.
Engage business and functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with their strategies and objectives
Identify potential risks when implementing Network capabilities along with developing mitigation strategies and plans
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Project Management, Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
7+ years of experience working with Card Issuers, Acquirers or Payment Networks
3+ years management experience in financial services or consulting background in Payment Networks, Fin Techs and or digital commerce
Extensive background in contraction management and contract negotiations
Expert knowledge of the Payment Networks and Payments ecosystem, including an understanding of key players, emerging risks and the evolving regulatory/compliance landscape
Prior history negotiating and executing 3rd party agreements
Ability to communicate a compelling vision and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders
Proven leadership skills and a history of working with cross-functional and diverse teams
Natural team player with strong influencing and interpersonal skills and resourceful developer of relationships who enhances overall credibility
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Ability to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork, willing to break down functional silos to optimize results
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence at one of the listed locations
