OrthoCarolina is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Hospital Relations Coordinator.  

The Hospital Relations Coordinator, supports OrthoCarolina’s hospital relations, service line management, physician call, and medical education initiatives.

This role would lead a number of monthly co-management steering committee meetings and assist the Manager, Hospital Relations and Medical Education, with administrative coordination, meeting preparation, dashboard maintenance, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and follow-up on co-management and medical education priorities.

Essential Functions: 

  • Support OrthoCarolina’s service line management and hospital co-management programs under the direction of the Manager, Hospital Relations and Medical Education.
  • Assist with coordination of all OrthoCarolina monthly co-management Steering Committee and subcommittee meetings, including virtual and on-site meetings at hospital facilities.
  • Lead a number of monthly co-management Steering Committee and subcommittee meetings
  • Maintain meeting schedules, attendee lists, calendar invitations, agendas, presentations, and related meeting materials.
  • Collect, organize, and update facility co-management metric dashboard information and assist with timely distribution to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Track committee action items, follow-up requests, outstanding deliverables, and metric-related updates to support continued progress across hospital partnerships.
  • Assist with physician call schedule administration, invoice support, payment tracking, and documentation related to OC and non-OC physician call coverage.
  • Provide administrative support for OrthoCarolina’s physician graduate medical education programs, including annual Corporate Fellowship Orientation preparation and coordination.
  • Prepare professional correspondence, meeting notes, reports, spreadsheets, and other materials to support hospital relations and medical education operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, hospital partners, physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative stakeholders to support timely communication and issue resolution.

  • Clear, concise communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare meeting materials, track follow-up items, maintain accurate records, and support dashboard/reporting updates.
  • Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, leaders, hospital partners, and internal teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Resourceful, dependable, and proactive in identifying needs, resolving issues, and supporting department goals.
  • Coachable team player who adapts well to changing priorities and supports a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of healthcare, hospital administration, physician relations, medical education, project coordination, or related administrative experience preferred.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred, not required.
  • Experience supporting meetings, preparing agendas, tracking action items, maintaining spreadsheets, and coordinating communication across multiple stakeholders preferred.
