Job Overview:
Climate Systems, LLC is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Director to build and lead our Human Resources operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while developing scalable HR programs that support business growth and employee success. The Human Resources Director will establish consistent people processes, coach leaders, lead the HR team, manage complex employee relations matters, and provide data-driven recommendations that strengthen the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Human Resources function by creating and standardizing core HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, career paths, leadership expectations, recruiting processes, HR metrics, and manager toolkits. 
  • Develop and continuously improve scalable HR policies, programs, and systems that support operational excellence, employee engagement, and company growth. 
  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for General Managers by conducting regular leadership meetings, coaching managers, supporting workforce planning, facilitating organizational changes, driving succession planning, and providing executive-level coaching. 
  • Lead and develop the Human Resources team by conducting weekly one-on-one meetings, coaching and developing HR staff, prioritizing departmental initiatives, and removing obstacles that impact performance. 
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, potential terminations, harassment complaints, manager conflicts, and other high-risk employee situations while ensuring legal compliance and consistency. 
  • Partner with the executive leadership team by attending leadership meetings, constructively challenging decisions, identifying organizational risks, presenting meaningful HR metrics, supporting acquisitions and organizational integration, and providing strategic recommendations that align people initiatives with business objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and dashboards to measure recruiting effectiveness, retention, employee engagement, turnover, leadership development, and overall organizational health. 
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining company policies and HR best practices. 
  • Champion Climate Systems' core values by modeling and reinforcing Do What's Right, Protect the Herd, Own It, and Get Better Every Day throughout every aspect of the employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years-experience leading a Human Resources Team; prefer small to mid-size business with multiple locations.
  • Experience entering, setting up and/or managing payroll through ADP, Paylocity or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience building HR infrastructure, processes, and leadership development programs.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and influencing executive decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience developing HR metrics and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
