Job Description Summary:
Plan, organize and supervise Foreman(s) for multiple job-sites simultaneously. Consult with clients and contractors in a professional manner. Assign tasks and making sure carpentry jobs are completed in due time while work is performed according to Swinerton standards. Discipline, mentor and monitor performance of Foreman.Job Description:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
- Supervise all field production activities
- Provide assistance to the Foreman in planning the job, ordering materials and manpower
- Establish project goals and monitor the success of the goals throughout the project
- Monitor labor efficiencies, project the labor needs for the duration of the project
- Achieve Swinerton productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log and communicating with other key project personnel
- Monitor material cost and storage
- Provide leadership and guidance to Foreman
- Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
- Ensure that the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, management, crew members, etc.
- Coordinate subcontractors for Superintendent
- Perform safety audits and implement safety program
- Ensure compliance with all work completed, policies and procedures
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a General Foreman Carpenter or in a similar role
- Must hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city or county)
- Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength, stamina, and be detailed orientated
- Proficient in basic computer programs including but not limited to excel, word, blue beam, BIM 360 field and field
- Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
- Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions
