Lead, Production Line

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The line lead is responsible for all duties necessary to achieve and sustain the safety, performance and 
quality expectations for thier designated manufacturing area. This includes directing, coaching, and 
training those employees in his or her manufacturing area. 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supplies all materials to machines
• Coordinates and schedules production in the most efficient sequence to support customer demand.
• Accurate production, scrap and bin movement entries in Masterpack. 
• Coordinates all line changeovers.
• Conducts first piece inspections. 
• Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.
• Follows work instructions and pays attention to details. 
• Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety. 
• Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production. 
• Meets quality standards for the line. 
• Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
• Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations. 
• Must be able to work required overtime as needed. 
• Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues. 
• Other duties may be assigned as needed. 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. 
- Able to read and write in English preferred but not required. 
- Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, 
multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions and decimals. 
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately. 
- Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is 
acceptable quality. 
- Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule 
format. 
- Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
- Good hand/eye coordination.

- Ability to understand English preferred but not required.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working amongst moving parts, oil, 
grease, coolants, fumes and other airborne particulates which can become hazardous under 
certain circumstances.
