We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Elementary Long-Term Substitute Teachers to deliver high-quality education instruction. In this role, you will help scholars grow academically, build confidence, and develop character. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, meaningful coaching, and a shared commitment to helping every child succeed.

Lead a joyful, rigorous classroom where every scholar is seen, challenged, and supported to grow.

As an educator, you will help ensure scholar success daily by:

  • Showing up prepared, positive, and committed to every scholar
  • Making learning engaging, rigorous, and accessible for each scholar
  • Encouraging academic growth while nurturing confidence and character
  • Partnering with families and teammates to support the whole child
  • Reflecting on practice and growing through coaching and feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues and participating in staff meetings and professional development

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Educator Certification/Licensure in K-5 (Elementary Education Certification)
  • Experience teaching in a K–5 classroom
  • Familiarity with data-driven instruction and standards-based planning
  • Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment
Highly Preferred:
  • North Carolina Educator License in the appropriate grade band (Elementary Education K–5)

Pay:

  • Long-Term (Degreed): $22.00 per hour
  • Long-Term (Certified/ Ph.D.): $30.00 per hour
