Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in聽Charlotte, NC聽We are looking for a responsible heavy equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment used at a recycling facility during the working shift. The equipment mechanic maintains a variety of equipment used in Solid waste operations to include large and small trucks, heavy equipment, excavator, and forklifts.

Responsibilities of Heavy Equipment聽Operator
路 Must be able to perform services, diagnostics, part replacement
路 Must have own tools
路 Maintains good records
路 Knows how to use/willing to learn computer tracking software
路 Maintains a clean work environment
路 Able to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics
路 Identify problems and come up with viable solutions
路 Has knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere parts and systems
路 Work in a team environment
路 Must have a clean driver鈥檚 license
路 Full-time position with overtime opportunities
Requirements of the Heavy Equipment聽Operator
路 ASE certifications are a plus
路 Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
路 Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing
路 Ability to drive truck with a manual transmission
路 Ability to work in all weather conditions
路 Needs excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
路 Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
路 Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred
路 Waste industry experience, a plus
路 Completion of college or vocational or technical training
路 Experience with routine maintenance operations is required
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
路 Works under moderate supervision
路 Requires lifting to 50-75 pounds, pushing, pulling, and bending
路 Physical ability to lift to 50 pounds
路 A valid Driver licenses
路 A valid CDL driver license is a plus
路 Must be 21 years of age, or older
路 A GED or high school diploma is required
