We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement on the plant floor. What You'll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing operations by:

  • Designing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and production systems
  • Supporting and troubleshooting conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and automated machinery
  • Leading projects focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction
  • Analyzing equipment performance and implementing solutions to improve uptime and reliability
  • Partnering with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to solve technical challenges
  • Managing capital improvement projects from concept through implementation
  • Developing preventive maintenance strategies and equipment standards
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization
  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions related to equipment failures
  • Maintaining engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and industrial machinery
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing engineering projects and working cross-functionally
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design principles
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards and manufacturing best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metal fabrication, packaging, steel, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) experience
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation
  • Project management experience
  • Spanish language skills (highly valued)
  • Experience with reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, or TPM initiatives
