Job DetailsJob Location: Okuma America Corporation - CHARLOTTE, NC 28278Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NonePrimary Purpose and Function: The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate and repair defective units in a timely manner and maintain adequate inventory while meeting the needs of our customers.   Responsibilities: Inspect and identify incoming units Disassemble and failure analysis/diagnosis Clean, inspect and prep units for repair Assist technicians as required Install and Remove units from the simulator Shop floor/Inventory control Maintain organized, clean and safe work area (5S) Work collaboratively with other departments Assist technicians as required Qualifications High school diploma, vocational certificate or equivalent experience (1-3 yrs. mechanical experience) Strong mechanical ability, average mathematical ability and basic electrical skills Ability to interpret mechanical assembly and parts drawings Proficient use of electrical and mechanical devices such as, precision measuring equipment, multimeters, etc. Strong attention to detail and capable of solving product technical problems Must work well independently as well as on a team Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office   Preferred: Ability to operate forklift and crane Basic operation of manual machine shop equipment (lathe, grinder etc.) Machine maintenance or previous mechanical assembly/rebuilding experience Experience with Bill of Material (BOM) research
