Title:                 Pre-Sales Administrator 

Reports to:       Operations Manager

Location:          Charlotte Technical Center - 800 Forest Point Circle, Charlotte, NC 28273 

Hours:               Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Classification:   Non - Exempt

Travel:               5%

Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.

Essential Job Functions:

This position will provide administrative support to the DMG MORI Sales Team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities include up to and not limited to:

  • Quotation Generation
  • Accessory quoting and post sales management
  • Telemarketing and business development
  • Territory strategy, marketing, and catalog stocking
  • Order processing
  • Manage shipping arrangements, Invoice tracking and reporting
  • Database development (OMS/CRM)
  • Developing and mailing correspondence, answering telephones, filing of customer: files, sales orders, invoices
  • Provide administrative support to Sales staff
  • Customer advocacy
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Previous experience with CRM tools is preferable, but not required
  • Previous experience in machine tool industry preferred
  • Average to expert use of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Work Environment

General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

 

Physical Demands: 

Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones. Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements.

Periodic: Standing, walking, bending, and stooping.

Occasional: Business travel. Lifting, pushing, and pulling objects.
