Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Access Control Administrator in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials, recording visitor and contractor information, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Assist with managing vehicle, driver, and trailer access at gates and loading areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
