Our U.S. Excess Casualty team brings significant expertise and deep-seated relationships with select appointedretail brokers.We offer meaningful in-house capacity, a consistent underwriting approach, timely and efficient turnaround, and a seasoned claims team.Â

What you’ll be doing:Â
Manage Retail Excess Casualty portfolio, underwriting new and renewal business to drive profitable growth aligned with risk appetite and business strategy.
Evaluate, structure, and price risks by determining capacity, attachment points, terms, and conditions across diverse Large Account and Middle Market accounts.
Utilize underwriting authority to quote, bind, and manage accounts while ensuring pricing discipline and profitability.
Serve as a market-facing underwriter, building strong broker and client relationships and representing the company in meetings and industry events.
Collaborate with Claims, Legal, Actuarial, and Business Development to deliver informed underwriting decisions and a consistent value proposition.
Leverage data, analytics, and underwriting tools to improve decision-making, workflow efficiency, and portfolio performance.
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics within the assigned territory.

What you’ll bring:Â
5+ years of Commercial Excess Casualty underwriting experience.
Skilled in Commercial Casualty insurance with experience in Large Account and Upper Middle Market accounts strongly preferred.
Proven ability to evaluate risk, negotiate terms, and make sound business decisions within assigned authority.
Strong relationship management and communication skills with brokers, insureds, and internal partners.
Strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and accountability with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed to support broker and client relationships.
Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.Â
