Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in the following platforms: NetSuite, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Excel
  • NetSuite: Experience with Saved Searches, Suite Analytics Connect, and a strong understanding of the NetSuite architecture (Transactions vs. Items vs. Entities).
  • Power BI: Mastery of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M). Experience building automated data refreshes and managing workspace security.
  • SQL: Proficiency in writing complex queries to join disparate datasets.

Financial Literacy: Ability to interpret a P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows in a data-driven environment.

Role Summary:

The Sr. Data Analyst serves as the bridge between our ERP (NetSuite) and our strategic decision-making engine (Power BI). Reporting to the CFO, this role owns the end-to-end data lifecycle-from auditing NetSuite system architecture to delivering high-impact executive dashboards that drive fiscal and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect Financial Models: Build and maintain the "source of truth" in Power BI by connecting directly to NetSuite via ODBC/API or data warehouse.
  • Advanced Calculation Logic: Develop complex DAX measures to calculate nuanced KPIs
  • Data Governance: Audit NetSuite data entry to identify system constraints/issues; collaborate with department heads to standardize data input for better reporting downstream.
  • Predictive Insights: Move beyond descriptive analytics ("what happened") to predictive modeling ("what will happen"), providing the CFO with variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Design intuitive, drill-down dashboards that allow stakeholders (Market Leadership, Ops) to answer their own questions without manual exports.
  • Collaborate with multiple levels of stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate, and deliver end-to-end analysis, including data gathering, modeling, and presenting.
  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, creating visual displays of quantitative information.
