Description

Responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning activities on hydroelectric turbines, generators, and associated equipment at customer sites.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites and project locations as required, including overnight stays using company-provided lodging.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and testing on hydroelectric turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
  • Assist with disassembly, installation, alignment, cleaning, reassembly, and commissioning of hydroelectric equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and document findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Communicate project status, technical findings, repair activities, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Complete service reports, inspection records, maintenance documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and within established timelines.
  • Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment required for field service activities.
  • Support startup, operational testing, and performance verification of hydroelectric units following maintenance or installation activities.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to meet project objectives and customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, site-specific requirements, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all job sites.
  • Participate in technical training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance job knowledge and service capabilities.
