PRN position supporting daytime and weekend or after-hours orthopedic services including clinic, OR, Ortho Urgent Care, and community medicine/special events.
Pay Range

Atrium Health invites Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to apply for a PRN Orthopedic APP opportunity supporting Orthopedic services at our Randolph Road location.
This PRN role provides flexible coverage for daytime, weekend, and after-hours Orthopedic services across multiple care settings. The Orthopedic PRN APP will collaborate closely with Orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Orthopedic PRN APP will support Orthopedic services across a variety of clinical environments, including:
• Orthopedic clinic coverage
• Operating room support as assigned
• Orthopedic urgent care services
• Community medicine coverage and specialty Orthopedic events
Responsibilities include patient evaluations, follow-up care, treatment planning, procedural and perioperative support, and collaboration with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care. Scheduling is flexible and based on departmental and patient needs.
Candidate Qualifications
• Prior Orthopedic experience preferred
• Active North Carolina licensure (PA or Acute Care NP)
• Must possess or be eligible for DEA licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program required
• NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (Acute Care NP) preferred
