THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR LAUNDRY PRESS OPERATOR
THE SCHEDULE:
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, though some days may start as early as 7:00 AM depending on volume, with additional shifts on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
YOUR ROLE:
As a Laundry Press Operator, you will use machines like the Unipress Lightning shirt buck and other pressing machines to smooth and finish clothes. Each day, you will press shirts, pants, jackets, and dresses to make sure they look great for our customers. You will check each item before and after pressing to find and fix any wrinkles, stains, or damage. You will follow instructions on garment labels and our guidelines for how to set the machines. You will hang, fold, tag, and get clothes ready for packaging and delivery. You will keep your work area clean and safe, work with your teammates to finish the day's orders, and let your supervisor know if there are any problems with the machines or the work.
OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to operate press machines and finishing equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality garment presentation
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle garments carefully
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Dependable and punctual
Previous garment-pressing or dry-cleaning experience and familiarity with steam presses or shirt-buck operations are preferred but not required.
