Position Overview

Perspire Sauna Studio - Ballantyne is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager to help lead daily studio execution, member experience, staff coaching, and growth accountability. This is not a back-office role. The Assistant Studio Manager is expected to lead from the front by modeling the sales behavior, member care, operational urgency, and Ballantyne System execution expected from the entire team.

The right candidate will bring strong energy to the studio floor, support the ownership team, partner closely with the Team Lead, and help MSAs perform at a higher level through coaching, accountability, follow-up, and consistent execution.

Compensation and Schedule

  •  Starting Pay: $17.50/hour
  • Employment Type: Hourly, growth-track leadership role
  • Target Hours: Approximately 30-40 hours/week
  • Schedule: Requires availability across weekdays, evenings, and some weekends
  • Growth Path: Eligible for increased responsibility and future Studio Manager consideration based on performance

What You Will Own

  •  Lead daily sales execution, including first-visit conversion, membership presentations, package sales, upgrades, referrals, and reactivation opportunities.
  • Model the Ballantyne System in real guest and member interactions: Invite, Guide, and Belong.
  • Coach MSAs through live observation, roleplay, feedback, and follow-up accountability.
  • Partner with the Team Lead to keep shift standards, sales language, and member experience consistent when leadership is spread across the week.
  • Support member retention through milestone recognition, inactive member follow-up, service recovery, and relationship-building.
  • Coordinate and support studio events, partner activations, member welcome moments, and community-facing opportunities.
  • Maintain studio readiness, cleanliness, suite flow, opening/closing discipline, and operational standards.
  • Attend assigned Perspire management calls and convert key takeaways into clear studio action.
  • Provide weekly updates to ownership on sales, staffing, retention, events, and operational risks.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience in boutique fitness, wellness, spa, med spa, hospitality, membership sales, retail leadership, or a similar service environment.
  • Can sell confidently and coach others without creating a negative culture.
  • Is comfortable being measured by KPIs, conversion, follow-up discipline, and member retention
  • Has strong floor presence: warm with guests, direct with staff, calm under pressure, and urgent about execution.
  • Can work independently during slower windows and maintain energy when the studio is not busy.
  • Wants a real leadership path and is willing to earn expanded responsibility through measurable studio performance.

Required Skills and Traits

  • Sales confidence and comfort asking for the close.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to coach peers and hold standards respectfully.
  • Comfort reviewing numbers and tying behavior to results.
  • Professional presence with members, guests, staff, partners, and ownership.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed by the business.

Success in this role will be measured by studio execution and measurable improvement in key areas, including:

  • Studio membership conversion and lead-to-first-visit conversion.
  •  MSA coaching completion, roleplay participation, and staff accountability.
  • Contact tracker follow-up discipline and priority lead recovery.
  • Package sales, membership upgrades, referrals, and reactivation results.
  • Member retention, milestone recognition, and at-risk member follow-up.
  • Studio cleanliness, operational readiness, and shift execution standards.
  • Event preparation, execution, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.
